From roller coasters to dashing cars, amusement parks don’t lack a variety in rides to have your adrenaline and serotonin pumping. Appu Ghar

This was India’s first amusement park launched in the year 1984. The name of the park was inspired from the 1982 Asian Games mascot ‘Appu’. Appu Ghar is also home to India’s tallest ride the ‘Skyfall’. Apart from the Skyfall some other ride attractions include Rapid Racer, OMG, Typhoon Tunnel and Lazy & Crazy River. Restaurants like the Southern Bay, Tidal Tadka, Aroma Coast and Langkawi Bay will take care of you with their delicious meals when you are feeling famished.

Essel World

Established in the year 1999, Essel World is India’s second amusement park. Essel World also has a water park called ‘Water Kingdom’. The park has over 30 rides including an ice-skating rink and a bird park but the real show stopper is the ‘Alibaba Adventure Mirror Maze’. With the number of options Essel World offers for people of all age groups, you are definitely going to feel spoiled. There are 15 rides for kids, 14 rides to enjoy with your family for people of all age groups and 14 rides only for the daring ones.

Adlabs Imagica

Adlabs Imagica not only has a theme park but also comprises of a snow park and a water park! From the daunting ‘Nitro’ which is a roller coaster ride that is 132 feet high and has a trail length of 2800 feet to interactive rides like ‘Alibaba aur 40 Chor’ the options are endless. The park also has 5 restaurants all based on different themes to satisfy your taste buds and if one day is not enough for you to explore every corner of the park then Imagica also offers hotel stay with their very own Novotel Imagica.

Wonderla

Wonderla is famous for rides that are nerve wracking and rightly so, as it has India’s first reverse roller coaster called the ‘Recoil’. It goes up to 40 meters at a speed of 80 kilometers in a fraction of a second. Some of their other high thrill rides include Flash Tower which is over 40 meters tall and is a free-falling ride, Drop Zone takes you to a high of 17 meters and then literally just drops you! With 60 rides in total combining the land and water rides, Wonderla is definitely not for the faint of heart.

Worlds of Wonder

Worlds of Wonder is one of India’s best amusement parks. The park is spread over an area of over 10 acres and has 23 attractions along with 10 eateries. The park is divided into two zones one of them being a special area for children and senior citizens called ‘La Fiesta’ and the other called ‘The Roadshow’ for teenagers and adults. While in World of Wonder, going go-carting is highly recommended. People can also enjoy paintball, arcade games and ice-hockey during their trip. There are special rides for kids and adults as well.

Nicco Park

Apart from being one of the famous Indian amusement parks, Nicco Park is also known as the ‘Disneyland of West Bengal’. Confused as to which ride you want to try out first? The cable car ride in the park will help you by providing an aerial view of the entire park. Along with an aerial view in the cable car, the park also has toy trains and gondolas to show you around the park. The park also provides scientific snippets about their rides.

Queens Land

The park spreads over 70 acres and is one of the best theme parks in Tamil Nadu. The park brags of having more than 50 rides, a lot of greenery and plenty of open space. Children and adults both will be entertained by the variety of rides the park offers. Queens Land also has a go-karting track if the 50 plus rides weren’t enough! Wet-O-Wild is a water park within the amusement park where people enjoy the rain dance. When at Queens Land make sure you don’t miss out on Robin Hood, a 4D theme show which is a family favorite.
